Hello! I’m Dave, and this is my website. I started it a couple of years ago with the idea that it would serve as a repository for some of my writings and other creations, be they creative, analytical, or personal in nature. So far, it mostly consists of Star Trek reviews and a personal blog, but its purposes may well continue to evolve over time.
I haven’t always felt like I needed a “public” outlet of this sort. But a major life change (several years ago now) left me with spaces to fill and a need for new things in which to invest myself, to some degree. With inspiration from Huey Lewis as filtered through Weird Al Yankovich, I began to feel like I needed some kind of “new duck.” Creating this site was one response to that feeling, and it has continued to contribute (however modestly) to a sense of fulfillment for me even as I have moved on from the circumstances that give birth to it.
